Mathura occupies a very distinguished place in the history and culture of India as an active centre of Brahmanism, Buddhism and Jainism for several centuries. However, there is no comprehensive bibliography of the vast published material on Mathura. This bibliography aims to fill this gap, covering all the major aspects such as history, society, religion, archaeology, epigraphy, numismatics, art, iconography, sculpture, etc. It is divided into three parts, viz, (1)Classified Subject Index, (2)Author Index and (3)Key-word Index.
